Simple Syrups are super easy and versatile! You can make a small batch in no time and use it in cocktails, teas or desserts. This is my recipe for Rosemary Simple Syrup but you can try it with so many other infusions!!! Check out our Strawberry Rosemary Bourbon Cocktail and Rosemary Olive Oil Cake with Lemon and Blueberry. Both are great with a splash of rosemary simple syrup!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of water
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 3-4 sprigs of fresh rosemary (I like to use a generous amount)
Directions:
- Add your water, granulated sugar and rosemary to a pot over medium heat.
- Bring to a boil and allow to simmer for about 5 minutes and until sugar is fully dissolved.
- Remove from heat and allow it to sit for about 15-30 minutes.
- Remove the rosemary and store the syrup in a mason jar in your refrigerator. You can expect the syrup to stay fresh in your refrigerator for 2-3 weeks.
